Who we are

BeerMoney.co.za is operated by Signitis Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (registration number HE 473239). Signitis Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through this site, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Contact: hello@beermoney.co.za.

What we collect

• Page-view statistics. We count visits with Plausible Analytics, hosted on our own server at analytics.bondars.lv. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not track you across other sites. We see totals such as pages viewed, which platform buttons are clicked, referring sites and country.
• Server logs. Like every website, our web server records each request: IP address, page, time and browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and they are deleted after 14 days.
• Messages you send us. If you email hello@beermoney.co.za or scams@beermoney.co.za, we keep your address and message so we can reply and check what you reported.
• Newsletter. The site does not collect email addresses for a newsletter today. If we start one, we will update this page before the signup form goes live.

Hosting and sharing

The site runs on a server in Germany (Hetzner) and is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it from attacks and speeds it up. Both process your IP address to deliver pages to you, so your information is handled outside South Africa. Germany is covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and Cloudflare is bound by data processing terms. Both give protection comparable to POPIA (section 72).

We do not sell personal information. Apart from these hosting providers, we do not share it with anyone except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep emails you send us for up to 24 months, then delete them. Server logs are deleted after 14 days. Page-view statistics hold no personal information.

Your rights under POPIA

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we process it. Write to hello@beermoney.co.za. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
